Transbay Block 4 is located between Howard, Main, Tehama, and Beale Streets in downtown San Francisco. It enjoys a highly transit-oriented location, adjacent to the Transbay Terminal and Salesforce Park.
Transbay Block 4 is the largest affordable housing project in downtown San Francisco. Developed as part of the F4 Transbay Partners LLC joint partnership with Hines, it represents a significant addition to the city's housing options. Designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz and Kennerly Architecture and Planning, the project consists of a 45-story residential tower and mid-rise townhouse buildings.
The residential tower stands at 512 feet in height and comprises 463 units. It offers a mix of ultra-luxury for-sale condominiums, luxury market-rate rental units, and affordable rental units. There are 177 ultra-luxury condominiums, 260 luxury market-rate rental units, and 86 affordable rental units within the tower. Additionally, a six-story townhome building with 20 units fronts the new 1.1-acre Transbay Park.
In partnership with Mercy Housing, the project includes 202 affordable units located in a 16-story mid-rise building standing at 161 feet.
